I have a few simple rules for cult identification.
Does it restrict the flow of information to members?
Does it treat ex-members badly?
Does it harm or cause people to die by following it's edicts?
Does it have a vested financial interest in members remaining in it?
Does it recruit "new members" (not many people don't just wander in to a cult)
Does the wts fit the bill?

Cameo.. the wts have depicted Jesus as white ,Brown, Bearded and clean shaven, long haired, short haired, straight haired , curly.
Just about the only constant is that he was a male human.
This only lasted until after his resurrection when he only LOOKED human....when the wts say he was actually a spirit being. Jesus must have been messing with Thomas when he said;-
"put your hand in my side a spirit does not have flesh and bones does it?"

i have really enjoyed reading the well thought out comments and critiques of the wts doctrine.. i have been around the wts since i was 5 i left for a while during high school got to live a little worldly/normal life then got sucked back in.
my wife has been raised in the truth and even though weve been inactive (for a while now), she still has thoughts about the earthly hope and seeing her grandparents some day.

Well the article in question also says that basically the "white race " are the top dogs and that the Blacks, Indians and Chinese might catch up one day.....so I guess that means that god wants the whites to prosper.

I lost my Brother who is an elder. He drew me into conversations with him in order to testify against me for "apostasy" and get me difellowshipped.
I lost many people who I can only refer to as former associates, to call them friends is making a mockery of the definition.
I knew it wasn't "the truth" for many years but now that I , my wife and two lovely kids are out it is wonderful to be free from the wts oppressive yolk.
